Critical Notification - Meijer - EDI PO

Dear Valued Trading Partner,
In an ongoing effort to streamline business processes, and to better serve the needs of our customers, Meijer is implementing the MP6 Suite-a series of proven systems that offer technical and functional capabilities to help us improve our processes.
With the roll out you will see the following changes to the EDI Purchase Order.
Ø PO number field expanding to 9 digits
Ø Changed Meijer Item Code to an alpha numeric Case Pack ID, 6-25 digits
Ø Capability of sending multiple SAC Segments at header level
Ø Implementing PO101- line item identification number
Ø Capability of sending inner pack configuration
Ø Product from multiple Buyers may be on the same Purchase Order if coming from the same ship point
To ensure your success in mapping these changes we have published the new MP6 mappings on our Meijer VendorNet site http://meijervendor.com/ found under Documents/Vendor Performance/Meijer UCS & MP6 Business Mappings or Meijer VICS & Business Mappings. Below are samples of the new EDI format.
This conversion process could take a couple weeks to complete. During this rollout process you may receive Purchase Orders from our current system and from the MP6 system.
Ø 7/20 – 8/31: Data Population and Vendor Conversion – You may begin to see Purchase Orders during this time in the new EDI format
Ø 8/31: Conversion Complete – You will see all orders in the new EDI format
Every effort is being made to make the transition to MP6 as smooth as possible. If you feel that EDI testing is needed prior to the 7/20 conversion date, or if you have questions, please notify your Vendor Performance Analyst or send an email to edi@meijer.com.

Meijer: Opening and Closing Stores
"Dear Meijer Valued Vendors:
Please pass this letter on to the appropriate people within your company.
Meijer is a growth company and consistent with our smart, steady growth plan, Meijer will be opening three new stores in Central Ohio:
Meijer store #246 at 8300 Meijer Drive in Canal Wichester, OH
Meijer store #234 at 2811 London-Groveport Road in Grove City, OH
Meijer store #241 at 7150 Executive Blvd in Huber Heights, OH
Meijer will also be closing three stores in the same markets, dedicating resources instead to providing customers in the Dayton and Columbus markets with brand new shopping experiences. Meijer will close the following stores:
Meijer store #59 at 5800 N Chantry Drive in Columbus, OH
Meijer store #60 at 775 Georgesville Road in Columbus, OH
Meijer store #101 at 2744 Harshman Road in Dayton, OH
All Meijer team members currently employed at these closing stores will be offered positions within a new or existing store within their market.
“Evaluating performance and improving our offerings to customers is something we work on every day“, said Mark Murray, President of Meijer. “New stores in Columbus and Dayton, two markets where we are firmly committed will enhance the Meijer customer experience in Central Ohio.”
For General Merchandise Vendors:
All shipments to the closing stores, including ad product, have stopped effective Friday, January 11, including SBT and VMI vendors.
SBT vendors – you will be contacted by your Meijer replenishment team regarding product or fixture removal dates for the 3 stores that are closing.
For all Foods, Drug Store (HBC and Prescription only), and Diapers:
Product flow remains in effect at this time
Any exceptions will be communicated directly to individual vendors
Changes in product flow for these areas at the 3 closing stores will be announced in the coming weeks.
Please make arrangements with your Meijer corporate contacts prior to removing product or fixtures from the closing stores.
New Store delivery schedules are available through your Meijer contacts now.

Message: "We've discovered that our 852 transmissions since last Tuesday 9/25 have been reporting inflated sales amounts. We've corrected our process and have verified that as of today sales are being reported correctly.
We will be reprocessing the 852 data for the last week and will transmit files Wed 10/03 at 2pm Eastern with the correct sales amounts for the days involved. Vendors receiving a weekly 852 file will receive a new weekly file with the correct sales amounts. Vendor receiving daily 852 files will receive daily files with the correct sales amounts.
We apologize for the problems this has created."

Meijer Case Pack ID Format Change (May 3, 2007)
"With the implementation of the new MP6/PMM system the Meijer Item Code was replaced by the Meijer Case Pack ID. The format of the case Pack ID was Vendor Item Number, a colon, an internal Meijer Product ID, a dash, and the number of units in a case pack, example WF5623:10211-12 Effective May 3, 2007, for any new items set up, the Meijer Case Pack ID will consist only of the internal product number and the number of units in a case pack, example 10211-12. Items currently set up in our system will not be impacted and will remain as is. Please be sure your system can process the Meijer Case Pack ID in both formats. If you have any questions, please contact your Vendor Performance Analyst."
